The League of Champions are proud to announce our new partnership with The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life.
The League of Champions diligently work to inspire leaders to be health and safety champions, and our membership and partners are leading the movement towards safer construction workplaces in Ontario. Through their programming, Threads of Life works to share the message of preventing future tragedies by telling their stories and ensuring everyone understands why workplace safety is so important.
Threads of Life is a Canadian registered charity dedicated to supporting families after a workplace fatality, life-altering injury or occupational disease. Much of their work is accomplished by a very dedicated group of volunteers. Their mission is to help families heal through a community of support, and to promote the elimination of life-altering workplace injuries, illnesses and deaths.
The LOC and OGCA are participating in, and supporting the 2021 Steps for Life Walk themed “Wherever we are, we walk together”. Volunteers, sponsors and participants across the country are united in their desire to eliminate workplace tragedies. The LOC is reaching out to every member encouraging them to participate and support the Threads of Life movement.
The Steps for Life 5km walk is scheduled to take place in in various locations across the country on the first weekend of May. The LOC is encouraging our members and patrons to promote, participate and wear their jerseys to this meaningful event. Walking together, united or virtually, our jerseys are a visible demonstration of the strength of the League of Champions as well as the leadership and commitment of their membership.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, the deadline for event t-shirt recognition is March 5th. We encourage you to take the lead, encourage your team, and join the League of Champions for this meaningful event.
