Who Can Join the League of Champions?

The League of Champions (LOC) brings together anyone who is dedicated to improving workplace health and safety in Ontario. These include

  • Companies
  • Organizations

Membership is open to a range of groups who share a commitment to making safety a top priority. When you join us, you become part of a strong community that educates and promotes safe work practices across industries.

We offer three main membership paths: 

  • Champion
  • Patron
  • Partner

Each category is designed to reflect the role that different organizations play in advancing health and safety.

  • Champion Members

Champion Membership is open to General Contractors (GCs) and front-line trades who are directly involved in construction work. These members lead by example on worksites by showing their dedication to protecting workers and setting high safety standards.

Champion Members benefit from networking with major buyers of construction, sharing best practices, and gaining support in reaching safety excellence programs such as COR®, ISO 45001, and Ontario’s Safe Employers Program. Your visible commitment as a Champion Member helps inspire workers and elevates industry culture.

  • Patron Members

Patron Membership is designed for organizations who support direct construction work and play an important role in advancing safety culture. Our Patron membership includes construction supply, service, and support organizations, companies in related industries, schools, and associations that believe in supporting health and safety.

Patrons demonstrate that they prioritize worker safety and are committed to improving safety behaviours. They lead with integrity, support the League’s mission, and help spread awareness beyond construction—contributing to safer workplaces and communities.

  • Partner Members

Partner Membership is available for organizations that provide services and resources to GCs and front-line trades. Partners include:

  • Government organizations
  • Health and safety associations
  • Training institutions
  • Colleges
  • Universities
  • Charities
  • Non-profits.

These members offer resources and outreach programs that help Champion and Patron Members succeed. If you join as a Partner, your organization can directly support safer workplaces while building meaningful collaborations across sectors.

Frequently Asked Questions
